Hood scoop or buldge
I have an older Everett Morrision replica. I'm running an inline dual four setup on a Dove tunnel wedge manifold. The currenttraditional forward facing scoop doesn't allow for much aircleaner. I'm considering a larger scoop. I think a non traditional rear opening as in cowl induction is the way to go. What I'm asking is has anyone seen a scoop for a Cobra replica that is large enough to cover inline dual fours and hopefully with rounded features to fit in with the lines of the Cobra replica? A cowl induction scoop would cover the distributor for driving in the rain which does happen around here. I could buy, adapt, or alter but not in favor of laying out from scratch.
word for today (esthetetics) this whole subject is contradictory.
I saw Daryl Holiday had his version of the Super Snake scoop on ebay. It didn't reach his reserve point. That scoop, turned around, and if it would clear the hood latches would be ideal. not too tall to block vision. Rear facing to not take in rain water on distributor and not to introduce too much air under hood causing cars front end to lift. And rounded features to fit in with the lines of the Cobra. I've seen the Kirkam with one off fabricated aluminum cowl scoop and hood vents. It's the closest thing I've seen and probably even works.
