No, it is either 6 months after build or when warranty card returned / dealer invoice with install date but you already knew that. For reference what is a "pavement warranty"?

I tried to get straight answers from the goof ball dealer that started this thread http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/club...e-cobra-s.html and, of course, he disappeared in to the woodwork. I believe what you write -- you've always struck me as a straight shooter, which is certainly refreshing in this hobby of ours.

Installation, including some fibreglass work, painting, special fog lamps and brackets, power steering steering kit, power brake kit, vacuum pump, chrome fan covers, side view mirrors, sway bar kit, Lokar shifter knob,installation of motor and transmission labor, steel braided lines, motor installation kit, transmission installation upgrades, 427 badges, Lokar transmission linkage, ceramic coated heat shields and installation, special foot pedals fabrication and installation, electrical wiring installation for fog lamps, plus an assortment of fluids, and we are stroking US$18,000
Grand total comes up to US$ 122, 000, plus tax and licence in Arizona.
These prices listed are two years old.
So there you have it.
OK so why did I go this way, first its a realization of a dream and is a retirement gift to myself, second, while I would dearly love to build one from scratch at this time in my life but I do not want to spend my time in the sun building a car and I absolutely know I would not have the patience. It would have also been totally impractical for me to have engaged in a build process at the same time as working in Asia.
So why didn't I buy one completed from the Club Cobra for sale site, well, it would have been somebody else's inspiration and would not have my personal stamp on it plus it would have cost a mint to travel back and forth to the USA and China until I had selected the correct one, thus the purchase of a roller, accessories, selection of an engine and the extras to make it just the way I wanted it and the install to make it a "turn key" drive away..
Would I make the same selection if I had to do it all over again, probably, but there would be a very strong pull to go with a Kirkham roller with a Keithcraft SOHC Cammer. In all fairness however, I have yet to really experience the Cobra that I selected.
I can hear some folks that say I am nuts spending this type of gelt for a Cobra and the Roush engine, but what I have listed above is general public knowledge and is available on each of the websites for the products and items listed. Arguably I have selected high end products but I make no apologies since this is my personal preference and I can live with that.
Hope this sharing helps any newbie looking for some pricing advice or anyone who is putting their shopping list together and is looking towards purchasing these products.
If anyone has some specific questions about the options I selected send me a pm.

Tony, I have posted these pictures on the thread requesting samples of a black Cobra. The car does sound mean but as you know I only got to put 78 miles on it. Hopefully all that caused this to happen has now been resolved and I will be flying back to Hillbank Motors in December to take delivery.
I will record the event and post pictures as well as sound.

We haven't met yet. But when you get back, I certainly hope we do somewhere in the Phoenix area. I have enjoyed your communications from the Far East. You write very well.
But, what I really hope for is to meet you after you have put way more than 78 additional miles on your car! I can only imagine the pent up demand to drive your incredible Superformance. Have a safe trip home and I look forward to seeing both you and your car.

What are pedal extensions?? How much extra would have it been if the tires had some armor all applied? You do yourself $8.00, your stealer $99.95LOL. Georgeous black car with dull tires.

Just because I am prick, my neck surgery cost Aetna $60K and I had forgotten about my surgery until this I saw this post. I was the one that stated neck surgery was less painfull than this build and I stand behind it. If your car is not 100% flawless, perfect when you get back let the attorneys take over. Nobody should go what you went through after spending the $$$ you did.

I needed to get pedal extensions to support the brake pedal as shown in the picture below. As for tire treatment, you are correct, but in my own defense, I had just got the car registered at the DMV, driven it back to where I live and the car crapped out right where you see it. I took these pictures as a reminder what my car looked like before I had it hauled back to California. Needles to say I did not exactly have in mind nice shiny tires, I was in more of a mood to go home and get my nice shiny gun.
BTW the foot pedal works great for left foot braking.
And for all you guys who feel the need for some type of ribald remark about having a big foot, gimme a break, huh?

Seriously? Worried about his car's tire shine? Wow.
When you get back to the USA, don't use Armorall. It turns your tires brown, especially in the AZ sun. Try just about any other brand of tire dressing. Most are specifically designed for tires and won't turn brown. Mequiar's is good, so is Presta and many others. Careful of the gloss level. Some make your tires look like patent leather!
