		This was recently discussed at length. There are 2 options. There are rubber caps that can be installed on the outlets and held in place with a hose clamp, if the rubber bursts however you'll be parked. Another more reliable option is to remove the pressed in tubular nipple or cut off the cast one, and thread the remaining hole for a small tapered pipe plug. 		In the Help! section of Autozone called a Bypass cap.  Though our preference is to remove it and tap and plug it.  Some pumps you cannot do it though and will just destroy it. 		Mike Forte, a vendor here, has an aluminum plug you can use a short piece of heater hose to put it on the stock hose connection.  The hose will last much longer than the rubber caps.

		I just recently did this on a stock water pump. I removed the pump, got a piece of dowel that fit snugly and put in the tube. I then took a propane torch and heated the pump (not a lot) then I used vice grips and worked the tube until I could twist it out. Then I slathered a glob of grease on 1/2" pipe tap. I tapped the pump and pretty much all of the chips were held in the grease. I then cleaned up opening, took an air hose and blew it out. 		I have used the rubber cap.  They crack after a year or so.  I now use a 1/2"  oil passage plug.  Sand the outside of the plug and inside of the water outlet. Smear both with JB weld and drive in. Works great.
