Just a response from Dave Smith at FFR would go a long way here. Just saying...

The overlay and profile views of the FFRs in above posts aren't of MK IVs I'm pretty sure. So those wont be much help to you.
You're best bet would be to get a basic kit to have the frame to work with and then put he fiberglass body up for sell. People crop up from time to time looking for replacement bodies.

Dont take any of this personal .I think all of us want you to succeed in this venture. It will benefit us all. Many car guys can fail, even if they bring a better product,if they cant relate to their clients. I think MrMustang is trying to verify all this info for our safety . And it got personal for you . I think its just business. There are a lot of people on the net that can rip you off and thats where fact checking comes in hand to help both sides, from scams. I run a small business and the public can be the most challenging task .Its a profession in itself.Good luck and I really hope this can work.

RE: "There are a lot of people on the net that can rip you off..."
This is very true. A prime suspect would be anyone who ebay sells something that doesn't actually exist yet, or maybe someone who sells on ebay with a direct copy/paste of a competitors specifications, or maybe someone who represents other's work and photos as his own, or maybe someone who chooses aggression and threats rather than rationally answering questions, or maybe someone who...
He may be right about one thing though. It's probably about time for a mod to step in.

Ok, its getting off the objective as I already predicted together with other good sensed members who contacted me already by email.
If someone has good faith and want to participate this project is very welcome and I can be contacted over email. I will see also how to open a blog on my website about us and those projects.
There is one thing I am keeping following:
"A mans character is not defined by talking, its defined by what he has accomplished in his life"
So I will not waste my precious time here. You had your chance..
Good speed

Can't say as I blame you, enough is enough. Too bad a couple self-absorbed dicks decided to screw it up for the rest of the FFR community who could have had a voice in the outcome of the MKIV project, rarely is that opportunity offered. I'm sure some FFR guys have been in touch and will gladly participate on your blog - good idea. Also glad that CobraDan and Dave Hackney will be coming out to visit Alloycars. I'm sure their trip report will echo the positives already received by others visiting your factory. Best of luck, I think the MKIV project has merit and there is a solid market for you to tap into.

Who knows who is right or wrong anymore and who cares! This entire subject has just become polluted and convoluted and seems to be a waste of time.
I will spend my time elsewhere here when I can with folks that actually have a question that we all might be able to help with.

...and you had yours.
You come new to a site to push an idea and ask for advice and then have a chip on your shoulder when knowledgeable folks dare to ask questions?
Two threads went into the gutter, and both times sparked by your responses to folks who have been around the block more than a few times...the very folks you would want to have your ideas tested by.
...and then you engaged name calling, a defensive/argumentative attitude, engaged in the annoying habit of shouting (boldface...corrected and then engaged in again), voluntarily posted in this "project" thread (which, as noted previously, is posted in a completely wrong forum which I'm not going to lift a finger to move), and a few other things that simply don't provide any mitigation in your favor.
Oh, and then you start throwing threats around about having your attorney write letters? Nothing worse than a damn attorney with some stationary and a pen. Have him write me one too, please.
As folks [should] know, I've lost patience with newbies coming on and starting crap and waking me from a peaceful slumber.
You say you're done here...cool. Let me enable your exit a bit for a month or so. If you wish to return with a better attitude, it will be your choice...one misstep and you'll be gone forever.

As posted by me on original thread...
Now that I've completely read the entire original thread, I'm ready to admit that I made a mistake banning Alloycars (whomever is using the handle) for a month.
If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...well, to be blunt, you're a dick.
Gone forever and a day.
