Default Any takers on a period-ish correct 289?

Just picked up a complete 289 core that should make for a nice little 325-350 hp engine once it's done.

I'm always eager to toss out different options for Cobra engines. There seem to be trends that come and go....347's are hot, then 427's, then big inch FE's, etc. Sometimes it's fun to play with something a little closer to home.

If someone is interested in a cast iron 289 with modern hipo internals, just speak up. I also have access to a Shelby dual plane intake that would look really nice on top...

Can do a complete engine, from pan to fuel line for $9999. This will use the factory block, crank, Scat rods, Racetec pistons with a modern Mahle ring pack, factory heads with SI valves and our valve job, a Blue Thunder intake, Ford Racing valve covers, pulleys, brackets, alternator, Holley 650 carb, custom Comp Cams solid flat tappet cam, etc.

Can do for $8300 using hypereutectic pistons, reconditioning the factory rods, etc.
