For $15000 your in FE territory with 100 more hp and 150 more tq...even a Windsor you would save 5 grand and have more power...
11 to 1 compression will need more than 93 octane not to ping, you will have to mix race fuel with premium, I had to do that with my Aluminator...

I have found 5 retailers that have this engine in stock, ships on Monday if ordered today...$14400 is the cheapest I have found...2 year warranty

$13995 was my cheapest in CA. Here in OZ, especially where i would be driving 95 or 98 octane fuel readily available.
For a 427 FE, if you stay with an Iron block your probably going to save $2k not $5K, if you go alloy block, by the time you add EFI etc not alot in it. We need efi here to pass emissions testing!

It sounds like its perfect then, my spf was a 7000rpm monster, I drove it from PHX to LV every weekend and got easy 25mpg...

Hoity, you know how "oils ain't oils"... Well when comparing USA fuel to AUS fuel - "octanes ain't octanes".
