Me, too...an all alloy 427 CID Clevor is my dream engine...and I'm at a point where I can start accumilating some of the small parts...water pump, that sort of thing.

I've been watching this thread pretty much daily...

Brent, please check your PM inbox.

Thanks!

Dugly

How about low-RPM, Brent...that's what I love about our 335 and 385 series headed engines, the canted valve heads promote great cylinder filling and low end torque.

This isn't just a "standard" Clevor, though...lots of high dollar parts!

Is it just me, or was anyone elase watching that fan belt?

Cheers, Brent, and congratulations on the great dyno numbers!

Well, with 630 lbft of torque you really don't have to be concerned about low end horsepower and torque.

What guys also don't understand is that a dyno will load an engine harder than a car ever will. You don't want to be lugging engines at full throttle down low when they are pulling as hard as they can pull. Obviously when we are aiming for 700 hp with a small block, everyone knows that they won't make for a very good truck motor, so it doesn't matter what they make at 2000-2500 rpm. It will be enough....

The alternator belt was loose. I tightened it up later. Alternator was basically there for looks. With a vac pump and alternator being driven off the crank snout, you don't want them too tight anyway....
