I'm wondering whether I should be using bolts or studs for my 351w mains. It's my understanding that the main advantage of studs is that they're better if you plan to open the motor up frequently. Do I have that right? I don't plan to be unbuttoning the bottom much, if ever. Also I see from ARP's specs that their studs are slightly higher in tensile strength than the bolts. Is there anything else I need to know?
I used studs on the bottom end for strength. I used bolts on the top end because on some installations there is not enough room in the engine bay to pull the heads if you use studs. This forces you to pull or lift the motor to remove a head.
