An offering to appease the god of Wretched Excess…
I thought you guys might like to see some pics of the “daily driver” a local businessman here in the Chattanooga area had built this spring:
402 cu. in. SBF
Dart aluminum block
CNC ported Dart aluminum heads
Crower billet crank & rods
Electronic fuel injection
Pro-Charger centrifugal supercharger (currently 28 PSI)
Pro-Charger air-to-air intercooler
Weaver dry-sump system
2340 lbs. wet
1277 rear wheel horsepower (so far…the engine builder, Ervin Hickman at AtoZ Performance, is still “tuning on it”)
The beast has been alive for 71 days, and is currently on its third clutch, second input shaft, second set of rear axles, second locker assy, and heaven only knows how much rubber.

Mmmm. Maybe some should give him some driving lessons.
Nice ride though.

You have to wonder with all that repair work going on how many days of
that 71 were spent driving it - 7? I won't even ask about $cost!

I agree Luke-44, to each his own.

1200+ HP in a 2300 lb. car is way to much, IMO ) I guess that's evidenced by all the repairs that have been made. Personally, I don't see how the 500 - 600 HP FE guys and gals can keep their cars on the road (by that I mean keep the rear tires "hooked up" without melting them down to the rims). My 351C is only pushing around 400 HP and it is more than a handful under hard acceleration. Of course "fish tailing" down the street does have its merits. It certainly gets everyone's attention ) I'm kinda curious as to why that "local businessman" just didn't go out and buy an Atlas rocket and put some wheels on it. Nah.... that probably wouldn't have been as fast. Too bad the Coyote didn't have a Cobra. That Road Runner would have been dinner for sure.

I wonder what he is using for a rear end, transmission, and clutch. There aren't many that can handle 1300hp. The Tilton triple disc carbon used in Supras is rated at 960lbf-ft I believe. Maybe that is close. G-force may have a tranny.
