Early 289 had 5 bolt Bellhousing, later is 6 bolt, same as 351. I believe motor mounts are too. Deck height is taller, headers will fit the heads but will need to be worked on to fit with 351 VS 289/302 due to increased height. Depending on balance factor of engine (289 = 28oz imbalance as OEM) 351 may be different (?) requiring different flywheel.
