I have a set of twin 750's on my SO, it's all about balance. My engine runs very well on the front single carb around town.
When you stick your foot in it the second carb wakes up and offers the muscle, balancing your carbs in a progressive manner will make you smile if done properly.
Keep tweaking the progressive linkage, a quarter turn on the linkage adjustments rods can become important
Where do you want it to kick in and at what RPM?

I'm running a 750 holley w/ vac secondaries on my 331 ci/400hp. It couldn't run any better. I have an Edelbrock dual plane intake and Edelbrock performer heads. The engine breathes very well. Everyone said the 750 would be too big. I agree if it was a DP. But since you drive around town on the front two barrels, it's perfect. If you put your foot in it, you get all 4 barrels and go like hell. Remember Shelby put 715 DP's on the GT-350 and it only had 289 ci and 305 hp. I think todays intakes and heads breath better than the old hipo fords did in 1966.

That must be why they are the #1 supplier of aftermarket carbs. and why the vast majority of Cobra owners run them. It's usually a lack of tuning skills or starting with the wrong carb. in the first place

Tuning skills can't over come junk. And the fact that the vast majority of Cobra owners run would have nothing to do the fact that Holleys came on Cobras in the first place would it?

Yeah, just like the originals had Edelbrock manifolds and heads! I run a Holley 670 because that is what my engine builder said would be the best carb for it. BTW-operation has been flawless so far in over 3000 miles.

What's the matter..........own stock in Holley?Angry that they're in financial doo-doo?Todays Holley is but a shadow of its former self.
Everytime you open yer yap(post) the aggregate I.Q. of Club Cobra drops 20 points.
Why does it bother you so that i'm much cooler than you?
JHV48-do a search on this site about carbs.Plenty to read.Out-of-the-box Holleys AND BGs have been known to have metal chips in them.Lack of QC.Pro-systems is another option.Theirs is Holley based also.

Cut the crosstalk, OK?
Stay on topic ("Which Holley is best?")
Be objective, helpful and respectful.
Otherwise...move on.
thanks

Holley
I'd do a 600 vac or dp. I have a 650dp on an afr headed small block 302. Rpm air gap intake. You can run a little bigger carb on a dual plane intake. Three Holley's in the last three years and they all been perfect out of the box. You won't go wrong with a Holley. JMO.
