Guys,

I've got a five year old 408 with the oil cooler hooked up, Canton seven quart oil pan, Ford FL1-HP filer and have always used Penzoil 20/50, recommended by the engine builder. Good solid engine but the oil presure is only 40 PSI at idle. I'd like to switch to a synthetic oil but have "heard" that switching creates gasket leaks.

Comments anyone???
