Default 289 fia

Although I commissioned the Hi Tech factory in South Africa to build the 289 Fia, the car was always going to be distributed through Superformance in the USA as one of their licensed products because of their reputation and dealership set up. Halfway through the build, problems arose re this arrangement, but I am now pleased to announce that Shelby Licensing have agreed that the product is worthy of their approval.
It has taken 4 years of research and daily contact with the factory to make sure that what was being done was in fact correct or acceptable given the criteria I originally supplied to the factory. At this point I must congratulate Jim,Werner,Campbell,Johan,Steve,Brett and all the others who sat for thousands of hours on Skype discussing pictures, drawings etc to make sure every little detail was correct. More can be seen at www riversideracers.com.
The wheels are 6 pin but 7.5 and 9.5 inch whereas the correct 6.5 and 8.5 are only available in Magnesium. These can be supplied but at a $5000.00 dollar premium.
This car is built strictly to original factory drawings therefore diamensionaly 100% correct. Wiring, radiator and brakes being upgraded due to availabilty
Check it out. Its just gorgeous.

Wow. This is quite a car. Not just a re-bodied Mk III by a long shot ! Was the intention of this build to be accurate enough to the original to qualify for participation in sanctioned historic races, ala the SPF GT40 ? Really quite a bold move to introduce a car like this in this economy. Here's wishing you all the best of luck and success. It's absolutely beautiful.
