I had a failure with the stock ones and it caused a lot of damage. I switched to the Howe ball joints, but still change them every year (I auto-x). The last time I went to the longer ball joints on the bottom to help the geometry in the front end when I lowered it. I know Cobra Valley also has some aftermarket ball joints, but I have not tried those.
