I installed the 24"X3" unpacked cobrapacks Louvers facing forward with the flow mod. Big difference from a carb tuning standpoint. I took out 2 1/4 dia. inserts out of the old mufflers, it was a BIG restriction to my engine and I can feel the difference. Louder yes but I bought light weight shooting ear protection for my wife and anyone who needs them. As for the sound, It's a deeper and louder, I like it but long drives on the highway I usually use them or discreet earplugs, the wind is part of the problem.
