Your legs will still get burned with the heat shields. My daughters did. The clamps that hold them on a right about where you step out so it transfers the heat right to the shield. I bought my car used and was going to just remove them, but the clamps corroded the pipes, so I left them on. When you get out of the car, you should push up on the back of the seat and get out kinda standing, not sitting!! All my passengers do the same with no problem. The only time I got burned was looking under the hood after having some engine probs!! Only took once!!
