Default Header to Down-Pipe Bolts/Nuts

I am constantly tightening these...do they need to be replaced, am i tightening incorrectly? Are there better bolts/nuts?

Red loctite I had the same problem used this product with pressure washers and problem solved so far.

I use "Prevailing Torque Lock Nuts" on mine and they stay tight. Just Google it and you'll find several suppliers.

Our local supplier lists those as 'stoverlok' or 'stover lok' - different terminology, same concept. Clearly a nylon insert lock nut is a bad idea on something that gets hot enough to soften or melt the nylon, and this type of lock nut is answer for that application.
