The previous owner had installed a heat activated one on the cross beam in front of the engine, but it had no pressure left and I prefer a manually activated one. So I figured why not leave it there, no need to run hoses throughout the car, and no space lost in the trunk.
The kit I have (Sparco) does not have a safety pin on the T-Handle, none of the one's I could find in Europe do. Since I got it for around $170, I'm just gonna built something myself to secure the handle.
It's the same kit we use on our rally car, FIA homologated, so I'm really confident that it's gonna do it's job in case I ever need it.
I installed 5 nozzles around the engine bay (normally 4 are enough according to FIA), and in case of discharge, the system will run for at least 25 seconds. That should be good enough.
