Congratulations! Please post the details and pictures once the deal is completed. It will help other forum members when they are looking to buy or sell. Glad you found something at a great price. The age of the SPF means nothing if it has low miles or is well maintained. There is no substantial difference from the older to newer cars. Like I said, if you are patient you can buy an SPF at a great price. The supply far outweighs the demand. |

Congrats!
I use Intercity and Reliable interchangeably. Figure about $1/mile for covered carriers. I avoid the "job shoppers" like the plague - I've heard too many horror stories and the difference between the majors like Intercity are not worth the risk.

Has anyone spoken to the owner/seller? This is obviously too good to be true.
The ad shows the car is in New York City, but the pics are clearly in a suburb. I live on Long Island and that house in the pics does not look like anything in the Northeast because of the driveway being concrete. I know I could be wrong, but most driveways are either blacktop due to cost, or really nice pavers when money is no object (or a combination thereof). And almost always with Belgium blocks lining the edges.
Maybe someone can somehow find the ad... wait... google is my friend.

Do your due diligence! I'm not saying this is a scam, if it is, you don't want to be the one on the loosing end! Better safe then sorry. If the seller wants a Western Union money order, that's a red flag! Good luck, hope it all works out for you! P.S., I have no desire to give you advise that will enable myself or anyone else to buy this car out from under you, I already have an ERA I'm very happy with.
