Talking Fresh off the boat!

SPF#2572 finally arrived yesterday. The dealer was kind enough to send some pics, since I could not be there (check out my gallery). Now it's off to the installer for engine and trans. Thanks to all who helped make a big decision easier by answering all kinds of questions, and by sharing their Cobra knowledge. The end is almost here! I hope to have it home and on the road by the end of April.

That is a sweet looking car... I thought I would get sick of seeing these things as I wrongly thought they would all look the same, but everytime I see a different one its like seeing a cobra for the first time. You must be the most unproductive guy in your office (or where ever you work), surfing the internet, staring at your cars pictures, showing everyone that passes by... lol... I am about to put mine up for sale and buy either a new one or a newer one done the way I want it, and thats what I am doing most of the time.... most expensive professional internet surfer in the world.... hope my boss doesn't see this..

Anyway, congrats... beautiful color choice.

James

I have to admit, since ordering the car I have spent a lot more time on-line. It made the wait more tolerable. When the car does get here, I expect I will be spending less time on-line and more time at home driving the car - I mean at home being sick (cough -cough)

Looks like mine, same colors, except for the tail lights. Good Choice. What and who's motor are you installing?

Bill Parham at Southern Automotive built the 1968 427 side oiler, with dual quads. If memory serves me, it is stroked to 484 cubic inches. I went with a Tremec TKO/600 with a .82 OD. It has the same first four gear ratios as a top loader, with the added bonus of the OD.
