jdebaun,

I sent you a pm regarding my car- SPF1410, a Superformance roadster. It's exactly what you describe. See my gallery for photos (sp1410). A street car is a great way to go!

Default 289 Street Roadster

Thanks again to all who wrote with ideas & suggestions!!!

I have a few new ideas to check out this week; glad I took the time to do this before I pull the lever to get things going!

ClubCobra has proven to be a great resource the past 2 months, both for learning about what's out there, as well as defining exactly what I want. I do appreciate all the feedback, and I'll stay in touch,

Jerry

Despite what Ernie proclaims RE: cockpit heat... I've not experienced any difference between my old SPF and my 289. Properly insulated there is not a difference IMO

And that may well be the key G.R. My Healey, bone stock, had virtually no insulation. The exhaust ran right under the drivers seat as well.

My friends CSX8000 (427 Roush small block) is exceptionally hot in the cockpit. I think in that case it also has something to do with the 'cramped' quarters in that much smaller than 427 cockpit car.

Is the NAF body same size as 427?
