When did superformance quit utilizing the start button

I don't have a push button but have considered it soley based on the ignition assembly turning with the key. I just tighten it back down now but I think I've heard that this set up is prone for that. If I did a push button I would leave the standard ignition and hide the button or use the horn button. It would still look original and have a secondary securtiy feature as well.
