Default Pulsating noise

My car is 500 miles old, from the start I thought I heard a noise but with the engine babbling it was faint so I ignored it.

Curious, I shut down the engine while on the road to investigate. Sure enough there was a pulsating/rubbing noise comming from what seems to be the drive shaft or possibly the rear. I could also feel it aft of the shifter.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I have seen a few installations where the driveshaft was rubbing on the driveshaft hoop. Very few installs have the driveshaft installed dead-straight (side-to side that is) to the rear end, and I believe the straight-shot is not a desirable way to do it anyway. Could you have too much side to side angle in your drivetrain causing a binding? Maybe an out of balance driveshaft? Loose a weight on it? I'f also seen the old style parling brake cables rubbing on tires, axles and driveshafts

I sounds like the parking brake needs adjustment.

I found that the flange on the inner axle boot on the passenger side was loose at the diff (allen head screws) with about 450 miles on the car. I tightened them up and have checked them a few times (still tight). I have about 800 miles on the car now.

Good luck,

The wheel bearing nut bottomed out on the threads so I was unable to tighten it without a washer/spacer.

Still looking into why.

I have some driveshaft harmonics at some low speeds and highway speeds in my SPF, it's not too noticable at lower speeds...but around 60-65 becomes more pronounced. I checked all the bolts/angles but have just accepted it as my cars own personality, wish I could say the same about my wifes issues.
