By all means, get the reset cable and attach it. It should only take a couple of minutes.

My fuel gauge is inaccurate, possibly because the dealer didn't bother to calibrate it when the fuel cell was installed, so I just reset the trip odo and gas up when I've gone 200 miles. Someday, when I replace the foam, I'll calibrate the gauge but for now, the trip odo sure is handy.
