Alot of states don't have that requirement. I titled and licensed my kit while it was still in a thousand pieces. No inspection required.

Anyone else have other sources?

Just don't mouth off to the cop...
Hopefully he or she will be a fellow gearhead.

When I registered my car I went to the CHP and the BAR with only the wheelbox studs poking through the cowl like Dean's talking about. No comments and no problem. I'm not sure if that means they're not required or they looked and decided close enough for government work.
Dean, that's funny. I just put my wipers on because I got tired of looking at those naked posts. Mine seem to stay put real well but I'll probably take them off for Willow.

I'm just after a different look. You may recall there was one point where I pulled the sunvisors off to clean up the top of the windshield. That lasted about 6 months and now they're back on. But for $50 (for two billet buttons) I might wait a while. Too bad Home Depot doesn't offer billet table leg caps.

Good question Dean,
I took my blades off when I went to Hallett in March and they haven't been on since. I was just noticing those naked ribbed nubs look kinda cruddy.
On my current budget, and with a black car, the Home Depot idea sounds like the ticket!

The gentleman who will be doing my paint job told me that on a few high end hot rods that he has done, that they have put "clip on", hand operated (non motorized) windshield wipers just so the car could make it thru inspection. And after inspection they took the wipers off. According to this person, in Texas the regulations just state that the auto needs wipers and it doesn't mention that they have to be motor driven. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I drove my car once without the sunvisor on the driver side and my hat almost ened up on the road. I put it back on pretty quick...(:
