When I worked in Egypt several years ago in the oilfields, benzine (gasoline) was pretty crappy quality. Most of the newer cars/trucks we imported would hardly run.

the fuel situation has improved. we now have unleaded 95 RON available. we actually sent a sample to germany and had it analyzed. result was 97 octane.
