Dingy Looking Intake

There are two things you can use. First is from NAPA called Mac's Aluminum Brightener, product #1458, (Works in seconds ! For use on all machine finished open pore cast aluminum wheels except highly polished aluminum or chrome and coated wheels) thats what it says on the front. I used it on my manifold and it did a pretty good job, I had some gas stains I wanted to clean up.
Second thing you can use is a spray paint called Alumi Blast made by Seymour. In the end I decided to use this as well. I liked this because if you end up with more stains you can just repaint it. The finish is maybe not as bright as new, but it is even and therefore makes it look brand new as well. Unless you have something next to it to compare to, you won't notice the difference. There is also a high temp clear you can spray on as well which helps to protect it from further stains. Its a very good product that came highly recommended. I'm happy I did it.

Bead blasting is the best if the intake is off the car......DON'T use glass! I use crushed walnut shells, wont hurt anything and gives a soft satin almost original look, not a shiny finish that glass does.
