Default Relay recommendation for neutral safety switch needed

I want to install a neutral safety switch on my Classic Roadster which utilizes a Tremec 3550. The transmission does have a neutral switch. I believe that the wiring would encompass running the starter wire through the relay continuing on to the starter solenoid? Then run another wire to the transmission neutral switch and one more to ground? Sound right? What relay would I need? Part number? I appreciate the input.

Just run the wire from the start post on the key switch, through the neutral switch, then to the starter solenoid.

You can do it with a relay, but that just creates another point for failure.
classical glass likes this.

Nice and simple. Not sure why I felt the need for a relay. Thanks.

I'd be fitting a relay.

With a relay fitted, the neutral switch is less likely to fail.

Which is easier to replace?
