About 6 weeks ago I had to replace a Ron Francis Bright Bulb. When I called them, I asked if the LED unit that Patrick is recommending, (which they also sell) was brighter than the unit I was going to purchse. The sales clerk had to go ask someone. When he returned, he said "We don't know". I bought the incandescent bulb.

I'd still like to know which is brighter. My red car with red tail lights may still not be contrasty enough in some sunny situations.
