What about those oils that claim to be a synthetic and parafin blend, such as Castrol Syntec Blend? Are they useful in making the transition from conventional to synthetic?
I had planned to switch over to synthetic at the next oil change but was told that I should not go straight to full synthetic but rather to a blend and then to full synthetic at the following oil change. Any truth to this?
