Bill: A very tidy way to correct it is with a 2" length of fuel line slipped over the tube into which the dipstick also is inserted.

I prefer those pretty blue ends on the Ford Motorsport wires,IMHO, that's about all there are good for anyway... When I switched from the Motorsport wires to the MSD wires, the difference was very, very noticeable from the first time I cranked over the motor, it started quicker and idled and ran much better and all I did was change the plug wires and the Motorsport wires were less than a year old..........

Another thing you might do (I did this once and it worked like a charm) is take out the dipstick and take a CLEAN small center punch and stick it in the dipstick tube and give it a couple of light taps, this should open or flair the top of the tube slightly making the dipstick fit tighter on the tube.......
