Gary,

That's counts for a pretty good cruise for sure. Wish I had mine to make the trip. How many miles did you put on it over the weekend? Any one else make it?

John,

Hooked up with the guys from Houston, no one else form Dallas area, for their annual event at Lake Conroe did a little over 700 miles total including trip down, event and trip back. They had 42 cars, one brake down and one accident that resulted in a totaled Cobra and two people going to the hospital. I was not involved in either incident but had a great time.

Larry,

Yep that I am, I did get rid of all the flies though they disappeared once I hit 100 mph.

Gary,

Good to meet you, thanks for driving down to run with us. I can't make Meridian but that is a cool area, we went there a few years back for the BBQ cookoff.

Also, I just sent you an email about your trailer.

Jim

Gary,

Man you made good time. From Conroe to Plano in 3 hrs. means averaging 73 mph. If you consider stopping for gas, I'm guessing you were hitting close to 80 average to get to your house in 3 hrs. Like I said, wish I could have driven with you!

John,

From Conroe to Ennis, with a stop at Madisonville, I was running 90 + until just before Ennis when I dropped to the speed limit. Never got a hit on the Valentine until Palmer then two at Ferris.

The car was running great 40 lbs oil pressure, temp about 185 and she never hiccuped, had the Bose HP's and Ipod plugged in almost hands free driving.

And that was actually Conroe to Dallas.

We are meeting at the IHOP in Grapevine at 8:00 am. It looks like it will be about a 90 miles cruise from IHOP to Meridian. Here is a google map to the IHOP... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...h&z=13&iwloc=A

jodymc,

A lot of us on this website built our cars. You really need to start another thread for this dialog this thread is about a cruise / bbq cook off / car show this Saturday. I am sure that you will find some assistance if you style the title to the thread as such.

You should also try the FFR forum on the Factory Five website?

Sounds great! I'm in, weather permitting and it sounds like you guys are coming down to my neck of the woods for a change! Want me to plan out a drive down there using some nice back roads, or do you just want to get there ASAP??

Stoney FFR,

That sounds great please do since you know the area, make it scenic. Instead of doing a caravan I think we should do a scramble if we have a large # of cars. That is leave out in three to five car groups instead of 15 or 20 cars trying to stick together. That was one of the contributing factors in the wreck in Conroe last weekend sending two people to the hospital and totaling their Cobra. Once you have it plotted post the route.
