Default Best places for Cobra repair in DFW

Just curious...where do the cobra owners in DFW take their cars for service?

Thanks.

I think most guys do their own service no matter where you are. Many places (including alignment shops) do not want to put a Cobra on a lift. What kind of service are you needing?

Try C&S Performance in Plano. Website is candsperformance.com.

They are good guys and have mucho capabilities. I was happy with work they did for me.

Clois,

Just in the thinking / planning stage of Cobra ownership and since I'm not handy with repairs, I was wanting to know who could evaluate a Cobra before I buy and then keep in running once I purchase.

Lots of people use C&S for some things.. Just a word of warning though, you may want to reconsider the "Cobra" purchase if you're not into working on your car, unless you have a large budget. I don't want to scare away a future Cobra brother, but you need to go into this with your eyes wide open. These cars tend to require continual upkeep and maintenance. That's just part of the hobby.

JayDog,
The Dallas Cobra club is a good group of guys and I can tell you all you have to do is ask for help and they will help and teach you all you need to know to maintain the car. Come out to one of the monthly meetings and introduce yourself. I don't have a Cobra yet, but several members of the club came out this past spring to help me change the clutch in my Mustang. I think you will find that doing your own maintenance is not as hard as you think, and any issues are just an ask away.

We meet on the first saturday of every month. Watch this forum for details in the couple of days leading up to the meet.

Edit: Also watch for requests for help. You can come out and learn what it takes to maintain. As Joe said, it takes more than the average car, but I don't think it isn't something that someone who wants to learn can't easily learn.

Quite a few of us area cobra owners have C&S Performance in Plano work on our cars. I stopped in last week to say hi and saw 5 or 6 cobras there. While most of us do at least some of the work on our cars, there are some who don't.

Like Joe Wicked mentioned, you should come out to our next meeting and meet some of the members and see some different cars. We all like to talk about our cars.

Took mine to C&S to have them replace the flywheel after I 'stripped' some teeth. Normally I try to do everything myself, but the folks there were OUTSTANDING. Attitude, quality, service ...EVERYTHING is first class and I can't recommend them too highly!
