Local race car vinyl shop did both my nose stripe and four 19" white roundels with #'s for $250 installed. Did it back in the summer of '03, and they are just now starting to get hard and peel in a couple of places.

One great thing about the nose stripe is that it gives your painter a place to stop. Meaning, if you road rash up the nose, or crunch the oil cooler, or catch some rock chips (let's see, what else have I done....) you can repaint the front back to the nose stripe and don't have to repaint the entire front half of the car back to the door.

So is that looking at the glass half full or half empty?

Nose stripe isn't as easy as placing a decal. The profiles across the front of the car aren't going to let a straight decal just lay across it in a nice line. I'm sure a decal shop can do it. After all, I laid mine out... But it will take some attention to detail & someone willing to take the time to get it right. THe other issue is the placement. If you look at a lot of the ERA cars, they have a low stripe(closer to the nose). I set mine back to lay out from the middle of the meatball. Not that either is better, just that there are options as to "where" Good luck!

Looking at the small pic. of your car, looks like the stripe is a little wider at the wheel wells, or is that just me?

Aj.

Essentially you are following an imaginary line so as the fender flares jet out it should look as if it gets wider. It looks different depending on the angle viewed.
