Food for thought, we all drive Cobras from $20-$100K. I don't think a cheep (cost prohibitive) jacket should be an issue. We all belong to an exclusive club, and I think a good looking and/or expensive jacket is what we need and be proud to wear. (MHO)

Take it for what it's worth
Just throwing out different ideas for the logo. A round patch that we could collect for each year of membership. Would not look bad on a black jacket either. Of course the colors could change easily.
Just thinking out loud...
By the way Dave, I see nothing wrong with a Silver car in the logo!! Not that I am biased or anything....

James,
Those are Awesome!!!!!!! I love the Lone Star look! Especially the second one that is in full color. This would stand out no matter what jacket color you have.
Anyone else care to chime in???

Ok here is an idea...why not start with the basic jacket with a flag and the orginal drawing with texas and the car....
Then every year we can have a new patch made for our meeting and you get them for your jacket and can have them put on....
Good bad? Then we get patches (patches we need more stinkin patches)

Matt,
I am not sure which one is the original drawing (there are so many) but if you send me a picture I will try to mock up what you are talking about.

James...the images are awesome...but good luck finding some place to do patches...seems no one does that much anymore...embroidery on the jackets...yes no problem...but patches....somebody check this out as we have never been able to find anyone that would do them.

I'm not a huge fan of the patches each year - where do you put them? Sleeves? Is this in lue of the "soccer ball sized image" on the back? Whatever - if there's interest for that, I'm down with it.
I LOVE the image done for the club by Tatoo Productions for the first run of T-shirts. I would pay extra to use that one.
Since there's going to be a huge cobra image on the back, I don't think we need a car in the flag, just some nice font with Texas Cobra Club over the Texas flag. Maybe we could add the "chapter" under the flag (DFW Chapter, Austin, Houston, "Outlying Areas" )
So - when we figure out what we're gonna do, I'm in for one - pretty much regardless of what decisions are made - I'll be happy.

Club logo for jackets
I like the K.I.S.S principal.... My suggestion would be to use something simple, not unlike the Superformance illustration that is a simple outline of the Cobra, like the decal that is on the sides of Gary Sharapata former- now Stretch's current enclosed trailer.
I'll try to get a picture of it posted tonight.

Ren,
Hey, great idea! James, love the graphics! I'll take a Red XXL Jacket (any way to get black stripes on mine?)
I vote flag and name on front and James' second graphic on back with one change - change "2001" to "est. 2000".

I agree on either James' second emblem on the back stating "Est. 2000" or the simple TCC emblem that we used for the banner. James' is pretty hard to top though... actually, the best part about James' full color emblem is just that...it's multi-colored. Therefore, it will encompass everyone's colors.
Texas Flag on the front right lapel with "Texas Cobra Club". "NO CAR".
The only jacket that comes with a black pin-stripe with a white main-stripe down the left fron lapel is the Yellow jacket.

Put me down for a Red XL. The second image from Baldwin for the back is my choice and above flag/Texas Cobra Club on the front is fine.

Hey Ren,
You might want to post the web address and let folks order the jackets direct from Brothers. I'm just thinking, this seems to really be popular and you'd be responsible for a lot of expense and then additional shipping and corrections, etc. Although it's really nice of you to offer buddy. Just a suggestion.
