Good suggestion Ed,
Can we try meeting at Denny's at 11 am? We could make it to Marble Falls by noonish and then back home by 3 pm. We'd miss the lunch traffic, if any, at Denny's.
What do you think Barry?

Kathy and I can make it for lunch, we need to get back to Austin by 4pm. It's up to the rest of the Austin members. Please don't change the plan if everyone (majority) wants to do the evening cruise. Speek up Austin members, and voice your suggestions!

Works for me. You will have less people going to the car show that evening, but if that's what you guys want, so be it. What does everyone else think about this plan?

Ger,
It's on the east side of 183 at LakeLine Mall Rd., just one block north of 620. I don't know the exact address but you'll see it.
See you then!

I hope I can make it, but won't know until the day before. The 11:00am is ok for me. I find Denny's with a little looking.

Jacque and I are in.....unless something comes up that we have no control over.......sounds like great fun/cruise ......... looking forward to it. Wednesday night is our bowling night, so we won't be able to cruise North with you guys(Ed/Charmer) - will have to wait to see your 'ride' on the 27th. BTW, Ed, thanks for the links on the pictures - I searched and searched and could not find them - don't know why??? Maybe just 'old' - huh? See ya'll on the 27th.

Cammer; Do you want to convoy to Dennys? We could hook up with Richard on the way. The reason I ask, I don't have a cell phone if I get into trouble.

Uh, maybe I won't be going. I went out tonight to take the car for a spin, and when I started it up it made a really weird noise. My guess is that the starter wouldn't disengage from the flywheel. I turned off the key, and the engine just kept cranking, but I couldn't tell if there was combustion or not. I had to hit the kill button to stop it. If any of you guys would like to give advice or come out and have a listen, let me know. I really want to have things back in order before our cruise. This is like a big pimple before prom night.
Thanks,
Gerhardt

STARTER PROBLEMS
Sounds like your starter solinoid is sticking or could be a bad starter you can tap on the stater with a hammer
This happens alot to ford vehicals that are not used every day .
I am busy this week but if you nee give me a call 512-398-6010
We can go from there .

I'm in...
Count me in for the 27th, though there's a very slim chance of the car being ready. The good news is that I'm back in Austin for a while so I can work on the car, but the bad news is that it's cause I got laid off this week. I needed the vacation though.

The weather report for Saturday 27th is 75-76 for the highs. Now that's what I call Cobra cruising weather. How many Cobras are going to show up at Denny's at 11:00am? We need a head count so we all don't leave for Marbel Falls without you.

How can I get ahold of some cones? Who has them?
Also, I never got any feedback about keeping an eye on your cars while dinning. If we go to Chillis, they have a great deck overlooking the lake but you won't be able to see your car, will that be a problem. If I had a car, it would be!
I need to know if we need a backup plan.

Ed - convoy to Denny's sounds great! I was through that area last Friday - where is Denny's and what time do we start out there from your house?? Also, what is the planned route to Marble Falls - up to 1431 and over - that is 'pretty' but very winding - I think that it will take over an hour to get there - hour and a half, maybe? Let me know more as soon as you can!!!

Since the time of the meeting has been changed, there is no need to use the same route as planned before. We could take a different route to Marble Falls if yall want but 1431 is a beautiful winding road. I though you guys liked winding roads as long as they aren't rough. Anyway, Hwy 183 north into Cedar Park, left on 1431. Remember I was trying to give the north austin guys a break by not asking to drive south again.

Cammer, It's going to take us at least 1/2 hour from my house to Denny's (LakeLine Mall). We can take 71-620 route to Cedar Park to avoid traffic. You need to be at my house by 10:15am (pitstop and go). Traffic will be bad around Denny's and the Mall area around 11:00am. I want to get there early so we all can hookup and cruise together. The cruise is going to be a long and winding one taking 1431.
We came thru Marbel Falls last night (281-71) only 42 miles from my house. I don't know the mileage from 1431. But it's a longer ride plus the ride to Denny's. If you want to take the shorter route, we can, your call. The northern Cobras can take 1431, and the southern Cobras can take 71. That means we all would not cruise together. It all depends on your kidneys and how much they can take in a Cobra.
I'll go either direction. Most likely we all will come back the 71 route, so everyone will get equal mileage to drive.
