Just remember its the cars that your there for (we put up with Tom because we feel sorry for his car)
Honestly we do alot of stuff together...We have a 4th of July Party and a Christmas party coming up. The key is to get together often if for nothing else but to pull and engine or work on a carb 
Just remember to set the monthly meeting for the same time, ours is the first Saturday of the month, and then be there rain or shine, cobra or grocery getter.
The rest will fall in line because of the love of cars. Don't get frustrated if it gets slow sometimes because everyone has a life besides the cars, please tell me I am wrong!
Also try and have some good road trips...we are going to do Tulsa every year now and we just have fun (had a margarita machine in the parking lot this last year  ) . We also get groups that just go, Gary and I went to Nationals and some others went to Run and Gun. All in All just have fun!
