Think of the two paths that forked back in the mid-60's:

Path 1, the road taken, Enzo didn't sell to Ford, led to the GT40.

Path 2, the road almost taken, Enzo sold out to Ford and this V-12 powered Cobra results from the merger, available for general sale.
