Default Now I want to make it legal...

Ok,

I feel fine driving around the neighborhood...but I want to be legal. Has anyone in Texas titled/registered without using a title service(titles unlmited, classics, etc). I have a copy of the Vehicle Title Manual and under XII Replica, it sounds easy.

any comments would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Blake

Blake:

Getting real close to that point.

Hopefully, I can go to school on your ball.

Let us know how it goes.

Default Titling in Tx

Blake,
Somebody in Texas posted a bunch of stuff on the FFCobra.com site about titling in Texas. If you title as a replica, you may have to comply with more 2002 standards than you want. Go to the ffcobra.com forum and see if you can find that post. I'll check into it too.

Blakes problem is the fact that his paperwork from B&B says 2002 not 1965. You have to have manufactures paperwork that says '65 to register as an assembled vehicle as mentioned on that page. I plan to do it as the page says but my FFR certificate says 1965.

There is a guy in an office in DOT office in the DFW area that can be contacted about being exempt from emmisions testing so the 2002 year should not be that big of a deal. The information has been posted here before...I'llt ry to dig it up.

no nothing about the great state of Texas.
but do know that many states are cooperating and reviewing all tittles washed in Alabama.
Lots of fraud is occuring and it is a red flag.

Hey Ed,
I know nothing about the antique plates, but when it comes to the inspection, there should be no problem. They sure got worked up over those plates the last time though... We can always use a little excitement...

On number 9, is that the VTR-61 Rebuilt Affidavit? It's a Texas form if so... but I was just curious?
