I'll just wait and hold my comments till after the next meeting and see how I'm treated at the meeting.......................as in who's buying my lunch...............and I know better than to believe Matt said ANYTHING bad about me....(who has his tires in my inventory) Besides I know Matt is loyal to me (who polishes his car before Austin) My loyal friends get first crack at seeing the video......anytime Matt!!

That doesn't surprise me. Having the wrong replica manufacterer, wrong color, and no big block, it sounds like you didn't have a choice.

Steve: I'm on the NE corner of Pearson & Johnson. The one with the silver, dare I say it, Vette in the drive. Oh, hell, it's good to get it out now than to take a flogging at the first meeting I attend.
Anyhow, I'm flying to Florida on Friday and I expect to return as a Backdraft owner. Anyone interested in a check-it-out gathering when it shows up?
And BTW, my address is Southlake, my next door neighbor is Roanoke, and I pay Keller taxes. Makes too much sense to debate.

Boudy....vette???? well at least you got the color right.
Seriously. Let us know when you get your car. Would love to see a new Backdraft. Never seen on before!. I am sure you will have a caravan show up to see it.
In fact, Gary Morris will probably even fly in from his home Lousiana to see it.

Worst yet, the new Cobra will have to bunk in with the Vette. Roomies, yea that's it.
I'll keep in touch when the new car comes in. Draging the thing Austin would be nice but it probably won't have a motor by then.

Boudy - I added your name to the online roster...see ya in Grapevine. Be sure and park the Vette next to the Gary's Blue Aztec around back.
Boudreaux??? Sounds Coonass to me!! You need to come down to Austin and we will introduce you to our TCC Ragin' Cajun - Doug Reed - New Orleans - Superformance South. He's kinda shy - takes awhile to draw him out of his shell.
I would like to hear more about a Backdraft Cobra - seen it mentioned a couple of times, but that is about all I know.

Hey Gary, I think we both made the, "Those Guys" parked in the back list.
Coonass is correct. Some of you may remember, there was a restaurant in Irving for about 5 years named Boudreaux's. That was us. Doug would be the first coonass that had to be drawn out of anything so I sense a set-up working here.
The Backdraft is getting good reviews in the year or so it's been out. I haven't seen it yet but all who have are giving it the thumbs up for quality. The owner, Reg Dodd, seems to be very driven to provide commendable customer service as well. The car is fairly loaded with goodies as a TKM for $25,900 and I hear that a list of recommendations were implemented on the 03 models. I've heard concerns about the BMW I.R.S. but Reg maintains that it can handle the horses. I'll know more on Friday.

David....It wasn't the color or mfg. as my friends silver, black, blue, and red all made the cut. Maybe you're in there somewhere I just have not looked that hard...........even though I've only watched it 6 or 7 times.

Boudy, we can get you a motor somewhere. What about that City truck (car) in the driveway?
I know what you mean about the City mess here. We live in Keller, have a mailing address in Roanoke and our children go to school in Southlake. What a mess. I love telling evryone when I BBQ people can smell it in four cities, counting Westlake that is.

Steve: It's a work vehicle. Before the 4-way stop FINALLY went in, we joked that a car could get broadsided in Southlake and land in Keller.(it actually happen about once a month or so) And make sure you speak up next time you plan to smell up the neighborhood. We'll stop by.
I'm waiting to order a motor till I see these cars.

I kinda figured it was a work vehicle!!
What I meant was we could put the engine in the cobra and you could burn it up in Austin then get a new company car when you get back. Believe me that City of (won't say names here) can afford a new car for you. Goodness knows I gave them enough money when I lived over there.
We'll do on the smelling up the neighborhood, it is a regular thing around here, even when it is raining cats & dogs or colder n a well
diggers butt, covered porch & heater you know.

Goodness NO! NO! NO! They'll have me in a 1985 P.O.S special for a year till my new work car comes in.
Well, it's past time to shut it down and go pack for Florida. There is a high-speed test drive waiting at Backdraft for me tomorrow afternoon.

Breakfast???
I'm with Steve on this. 7:00am in February is generally not Cobra weather. It might be, but probably not - generally around 40 +/-. By 11:00, we might get lucky and have a great lunch with 15 Cobra like the January meeting. The IHOP in Grapevine is great for breakfast in warm weather and was a great spot last Aug. Is there only one restaurant in Grapevine? Not too late to reconsider lunch someplace. Lunch - I am there. If 7:00 am breakfast is the plan - I am 50/50. I may drive the Jeep over just to see the new Kirkham.

I will be there either way. Just giving my vote (prefer 9am breakfast or early 11:00 lunch).
Thanks for the effort, Jim! These are not always easy to setup. But EVERYONE does appreciate your efforts!

I will look at an alternative tomorrow.. Must be someplace in Grapevine willing to guarantee our seating for lunch.
No guarantees, but stay tuned for tomorrow.
