How about.....

W.D. Goldsmith from Georgia. That should make eight states.

Jim:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

SilverCobra 05-16-2003 01:10 PM

Well done Mr. Worley - close - but I think Woodard is right & W.D. was actually living in Atlanta, GA at the time. Also, Clois is not from Arkansas. I'd say we are about 90% correct. ;) One state/owner missing!

Sorry, Thomas - I guess I forgot about your international connection - thought you were a naturalized Texan by now. I believe you still had jet lag 3 yrs ago.;)

427Aggie 05-16-2003 01:13 PM

Isn't Clois from Louisana....NO! He's from Tulsa.

Paul

SilverCobra 05-16-2003 05:21 PM

Correct

Correct Paul - Clois is from Tulsa, OK
Trent Dockstetter from Lawton, Ok came to a Dallas TCC Saturday luncheon in Nov - 2001 - the same day my Unique Rolling Pallet arrived. :p

Final piece of puzzle - Who came from Arkansas? He signed up and I think he was there.

4RE KLR 05-18-2003 09:51 AM

I have no idea......

Seems like now days they are all blue!

jrussell 05-18-2003 11:08 AM

OK,
Let's try Jay & Cindy Jennings from Arkansas. Blue FFR, nice folks that we met in Tulsa & made the trip to Austin to join the TCC.
Did that do it?
John R.

SilverCobra 05-18-2003 08:08 PM

Correct John Russell - that completes our out of state roster!

Here is another question - TCC Austin Event - I can think of at least 6 Cobras (there may be more) over the past 4 years with special air/fuel enhancements, (ie. something other than just a Holley 4 barrel carb). Name the owners and the hardware on their car.

jayscobras 05-19-2003 05:16 PM

JAY

IF YOU DUMPED VIAGRA IN NIAGRA FALLS,,WOULD IT RAIN?????**)

SilverCobra 05-20-2003 12:18 PM

Only other one I could think of was Terry Tilton - Superchager on his FFR. Rick Orsini (Lone Star w/ NOS was scheduled, but was a no show for Austin. Dan's previous blue spf was at Austin '02 as my younger son rode shotgun. I don't think Dan's new silver/black SPF w/ webers has been to Austin. He missed '03 as he got somebody pregnant and could not attend. Oh yeah, that was his wife!

4RE KLR 05-20-2003 03:24 PM

Next question

Anyone!

4RE KLR 05-21-2003 07:23 AM

OK here is one.

Tom Meadows AKA ERA600HP was working in his shop on the engine in his Cobra. He was doing repairs to the Beast trying to figure out why it kept bending the pushods into pretzels. The phone rang and (glad it wasn't me) Tom went to answer the phone. He had his conversation and hung up the phone and went back to finish up the car. Tom tried to start the car and something bad happened. This in turn prompted Tom to remove the engine from the Beast and have a professional engine rebuilder go through the engine.

What did Tom do, or forget to do as the case may be that caused the problem.

Tom you of coarse are requested not to answer.

427Aggie 05-21-2003 07:34 AM

Tom forgot to check the engine to make sure everything was setup and connected or in his case disconnected and there were no tools still there.

Tom left a wrench on the crank that he used to turn the engine over by hand and when he cranked the engine it spun over and jammed on the crossmember...which in turned basically siezed the engine and bent a bunch more pushrods and valves and fun stuff.

Thats also why his car missed Austin that year.....and I belive the beginning of the fiasco was why we have pictures of Gary Morris towing Tom to the car show in Tulsa where Tom's non running car still won the car show :)

Matt

4RE KLR 05-21-2003 08:39 AM

Matt
You knucklehead. That is the correct answer.

Ok here is another one.

At The fifth annual Summer Knights car show at Young Cheverolet I won numerous (FOUR) trophies at this show. One of which I have been heckeled about (all in fun) ever since.

Can anyone, even you Matt, name "ALL FOUR" catigories.

Everyone knows one....... But what about the other three. One of which I am very proud of.
