1) Who brought / made it?
2) Who was the ginnie (sp) pig for the taste test?
3) And what feat did the person doing the taste test have do with it?

Thomas Gayer 02-23-2006 05:42 AM

the light blue was easy,
but how did you know about #11?
Tommy

hey,littlecobra 02-23-2006 06:52 AM

well, Thomas, I'm not Jim, but it belongs to the red shirted guy in the middle.... Ok, name is Mark Wheatley. (thanks, Jim, I 'stole' your picture out of your gallery) Okie boy..... ;) (actually, if I remember correctly, the two brothers bought it, then Mark bought it out from the brother? Can't remember!) http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...Mid-Am_018.jpg

Kristen is right. Some of us have been up close and personal with the Wheatley's car.

Johnnyquest 02-23-2006 06:03 PM

Correct but the Bristol has a six, later 50's car.

The owner complained the first year for us to SLOOOOOOOW down, he couldn't keep up!

Thomas Gayer 02-23-2006 07:34 PM

Thanks Kristen
Thanks Jim
I guess we get a little more enlightened every day. I look forward to seeing his car up close and personal one day.
I dont know if i ever told u Jim that your build on the net was my inspiration to do my 66 Cobra, and Ken Saunders' GT40 build was my inspiration for the 68 GT40 project. Now I am building a shop on the bayou to house all these cars and will miss a few of the upcoming events (regretably). Ya'll have so much fun at those get togethers I hate to miss one.

Look what I found......

I forgot about this thread and found it on a search.

Anyone have any new trivia?

392cobra 06-05-2007 09:51 AM

Who would this be :

Preferred to burn his forehead on the sidepipes instead of his legs.

4RE KLR 06-05-2007 01:09 PM

OOOh I know I know.
I'll wait a bit though to see if anyone else knows. LOL

Ed Csoltko 06-05-2007 03:13 PM

If I can remember way back, it was old Jay.

jayscobras 06-05-2007 09:45 PM

Game on!!!!!

Glad this came back up. Now to update it and be a historian. No more questions that involve me in the answer. I have been blessed to be a part of this.

There are 2 cars that are 289 fia cars in this club that I know of. Only one began its life as a 427 bodied car.

Both 289 owners first name start with "J". Who is the other? And what is his claim to fame?

Jay
