I believe that was NAJA. Last year his car overheated on the ground floor and ended up on a trailer. This year he made it up top and made it to Gruene but overheated in the parking lot. After lunch the car would not start and I gave him a ride back to the hotel to get his trailer.

Am I right?

John

jwoodard 04-21-2003 05:40 PM

John beat me to it.......

His name is Frank Newman from Deer Park. Didn't he blow a radiator hose right in front of the Origin garage?%/ %/

CLOSE

JOHN YOU ARE CLOSE AND RIGHT IN ONE WAY. NAJA DID NOT MAKE IT TO THE ORIGIN GARAGE ON TCCII. THE FACT THTAT YOU MENTIONED GREUNE MEANS THAT HE HAD OTHER PROBLEMS AT TCCIV.

WE MET UP AGAIN AT HEARTLAND PARK IN TOPEKA WHERE HIS TRANNY OVERNEATED. HE DOES HAVE ONE OF THE BEST PAINT JOBS AND COULD NOT BE PICTURED IN KIT CAR MAG BECAUSE THE GHOST SNAKE WOULD NOT SHOW UP.

HE IS ALSO ONE OF TWO OWNERS OF AN L.A. CAR IN THE CLUB.

SOMEONE ELSE TAKE THE NEXT QUESTION BEFORE I START THINKING AGAIN:D

JAY

AFTER FIRTHER REVIEW JOHN AND JIM ARE BOTH RIGHT AND THERE IS NO FOUL.

4RE KLR 04-22-2003 07:52 AM

Next Question:

Anyone........

4RE KLR 04-22-2003 08:00 AM

Ok I have one.

There was a guy around here for awhile, I can't remember his name, that had a MARINE motor in his cobra.

Since, I can't remember his name what make of KIT was it?

4RE KLR 04-22-2003 04:38 PM

Hint:
It was a turquois blue Cobra

Jay, this one should be easy for you. You are the one that introduced me to the guy.

jayscobras 04-23-2003 06:59 AM

OKAY

THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN CARL FROM GRAND PRAIRIE IN HIS CLASSIC ROADSTER WITH SADDLE INTERIOR. THE CAR WAS SOLD ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO. FOUR YEARS AGO AT AUTORAMA IN DALLAS THE CAR CAUGHT FIRE WHILE BEING MOVED INTO THE SHOW. THEY USED THE EXTINGUISHER TO PUT IT OUT. CARL CLEANED ON THE CAR ALL DAY AND THAT NIGHT. STILL WON BEST OF CLASS IN FULL RADICAL CUSTOM HANDBUILT.:JEKYLHYDE

SINCE AER IS COMING UP, HOW ABOUT AN AER SHOW QUESTION? LAST YEAR AND THE YEAR BEFORE, THERE WERE ABOUT 20 COBRAS EACH YEAR. THE QUESTION IS HOW MANY COBRAS WERE IN THE SHOW THE YEAR PRIOR?;)

JAY

4RE KLR 04-23-2003 07:19 AM

three

jayscobras 04-23-2003 12:55 PM

sorry

BEEEEEP! THAT IS INCORRECT STEVE. ANYONE ELSE WANT TO TRY?:D

JAY

427Aggie 04-23-2003 01:34 PM

I believe that was my first year at it and we had something like 36 cars show up....

Matt

jayscobras 04-23-2003 02:40 PM

ANOTHER BEEEEEP!

SORRY MATT, THAT'S REAL WRONG. IN FACT STEVE IS CLOSER THAN YOU ON THE NUMBER.:D

IF NO ONE GETS IT BY TOMORROW MORNING, I WILL POST THE ANSWER.

JAY

427Aggie 04-23-2003 03:45 PM

Hey now one year we had way in excess of 20....so that was the year before I had my car.......that was like only 4 or 5 back when we only had blue cars in the club....boy has it gotten alot better now that we have some good colors rolling around...heheheh

Matt

4RE KLR 04-23-2003 04:42 PM

I was going to say two, but I figured I had forgot one one so I guessed at three. So Since I have used up my turn I gues I can't guess again. I do know there were VERY few Cobras there. Seems like Tom told me this some time ago. Dangit

4RE KLR 04-23-2003 04:43 PM

BTW Jay

You have your Mothers memory, and that is a good thing!

jayscobras 04-24-2003 06:18 AM

ANSWER

IT WAS A BLUSTERY DAY IN EARLY MAY WITH RAIN IN THE FORECAST. PRPBABLY THE FEWEST CARS I HAVE EVER SEEN AT AER.

CORY HESS AND I WERE THE ONLY COBRAS TO SHOW UP. THEY EVEN PUT US IN A DIFFERENT PLACE...AGAINST THE BUSHES AT THE BACK OF THE PARKING LOT.

IT IS QUITE A TRIBUTE TO TCC THAT WE WENT FROM 2 CARS TO 20 SOMETHING IN ONE YEAR. I WISH I WAS GOING TO MAKE AER THIS YEAR BUT WE WILL BE RACING. I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A BLAST.

STEVE, I HAD TO DEVELOPE MY MEMEORY LIKE MY MOM'S IN SELF DEFENCE:LOL:  (INSIDE JOKE WITH YOU AND I)

SOMEONE ELSE NEEDS TO ASK NOW. I FORGOT MY NEXT QUESTION;)

JAY

4RE KLR 04-24-2003 07:20 AM

4RE KLR 04-24-2003 07:34 AM

Ed Csoltko 04-24-2003 08:30 AM

Okay!

Who is the oldest TCC member?

427Aggie 04-24-2003 09:45 AM

Matt

SilverCobra 04-24-2003 10:22 AM

Speaking of Age

New question about older Cobra - not an ole man. TCC Austin - who has brought the oldest Cobra to the event? Second oldest? I think I know the answer and sent a couple of e-mails this morning to confirm.

I believe my Unique may hold the record for the newest Cobra in Austin. Started the engine 12 days before the event, plates on Wed - inspection on Friday morning & then loaded on the trailer to meet up with the Dallas convoy for Austin. I believe it had 21 miles when it arrived in Austin Feb '02.;)

Anybody know the oldest Cobra?%/
