Paging cobra dude - Insurance ?
Neil, looking for insurance and think you mentioned State Farm at our last lunch? We'll switch to SF if they can cover the Cobra, what I'm hoping for from you is the details on your agent so I can point the guy we go to for a quote to someone that's already written a policy. Thx!

Ed, I have State Farm. It is not the low cost option but no restrictions is a good thing.

Ed#1,
Thanks for the info!
James,
Who's your agent so I can point the guy near us to someone if he gets confused? Thx.

I use Betsy Dippo in San Antonio. She has been my agent for about 12 years now so I kept her even after moving to Austin.

Sir Hubbard,
Ted Heaton State Farm on Steck. 512-343-8774.
Yes, I ended up switching to SF. $50 more for the 1st 6-mth period, then $10 *less* than my prev insurance after that, so it was not really much more to be concerned about. And now I have all my insurance in one place, which is a major hassle-saver.
Cheers,
-Neil.

Neil,
What did you tell her your car is - a replica, a cobra, a kit car? Very important to have the vocabulary correct. Thx!

Ted is actually a "Him"
Yes, the "type" makes a difference here. My car was MSO'ed and therefore titled as a 1994. So I did not get and collector-car type insurance on it (read as no mileage limit). If you're unsure of the diffs, call any other agent randomly (but probably not the R.V. SF idiots on Red Bud near you ) and have a general chat. Then use that info to go to the agent you want.
Cheers,
-Neil.
