A clone

Well guys the big news over here is that a Texan woman has just had a clone of her late pet cat born.

It appears that she spent $65,000Us on having her late cats DNA frozen and the re clonned into a new kitten.

Does anyone know her...

..She obviously has a little spare cash..

Perhaps she wants to clone a snake.

thankfully, haven't heard this story, but people do the stupidest things with or without large sums of money. To be honest, that is something my deranged mother would do, and i hope I don't get a phone call from some distant relative telling me she's the one that did it! My understanding is that any penny she has left when she finally expires would be left to a cat facility. No joke.

True news article though the reported price was $50k usd. Some people have way too much money and not enough street smarts/ intelligence...but that is my opinion. If I had that kind of money I think I would try and do something worthwhile rather than clone a cat or dog no matter how much I might miss it.

Now that type of dollar level would possibly buy food for the local cat facility for a few years..

Each to their own. I was a little surprised when I saw the story. It certainly has received world wide coverage...

Now, I must get her address and send her my DNA..

No not a "cat facility" but use the $$ to do some good ie. give to a charity, buy a needy family a years free rent, that type of thing

I hate cats they jump on to my truck. The gal with the clone cat, and the money wasn't bad looking. Sorry I dont have an address

Two Points:

1. I'll bet she gets as much pleasure from this new cat as many of you do from your cobras, at a roughly equivalent price, and likely spends more time with it than you do your cobras. I doubt she'll be putting her cat away for the winter....

2. She can say that it's an ORIGINAL!!!

(owner of three cats and a replica (SPF) cobra, which was taken out in 35 degrees last weekend before the really cold weather and ice hit....)

I dont know even if that is her bag of fun I really think It may lead to another movie like Pet Cemetary !
So would this means $$$ could buy you back someone you lost ?

I'm sorry but I have not made a big enough impression on anyone yet to warrant them wanting to clone me and re birth me.

For some reason, known to them only, I think they may be glad to see the end of me when I'm old and giving them a hard time..

I'm currently spending my kids inheritance..
