Loretta,
Before you climb into Pepe you should check out the fingerprints embedded into the dash on the passengers side.
They are from the last ride Gary Morris (previous owner) had with Kristen.

Maps and more - Forney Map
Could this place be any farther away from civilization? Looks like I have to drive past BFE to get there…
So I believe I have mapped the correct place…but hey it’s Forney…it’s not that big

What a lovely map. thanks, chris! do ya'll see the Sunnyvale dot? that is my house.... You will blink a couple of times, then drive right thru Sunnyvale.
Have hope; it's only 13-14 minutes east on 80 from where you go to 'On the Border' near Gary. (add 10-15 minutes to your usual time to On the Border)
Kristen
Steve- poor you! Aren't you glad I bought your trailer, and you didn't have to lug it back to Argyle! Yuck!!!!!

P.S. !!! the exit is not called US 80 West Moore St. It is FM 740!!!!! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT look for West Moore St. You won't find it til you get to Terrell, 15 miles further east!!!
EXIT FM 740, stay on service road, on right less than 1/2 mile!

Can you ask Bruce Blay to come (I am not sure if my contact information for him is current)
Tell him stacey and Andrew will be there...
He can call stacey's cell if he has any questions
Thanks!!!

yup, I'll call over there in a minute!
K
yeah, an hour later....
ok, Chris. talked to Bruce. He's planning on coming. Riding the Harley if 'not raining', truck if it is.
It's nice to have a next door neighbor that doesn't mind the pipes; he's got his own! Maybe we'll have a cobra convert...

Unfortunately............
I won't be attending this meeting. We have an event at TMS on Saturday and I have to work it.
So, looks like I will make the September meeting.
Good news is the car is on the road and running!
Have a good one and see you next month.

small but nice group today....
We had a big breakfast at Ernie Bell's in Forney. Very nice driving temp, but by the time we left, 9 +, it was already getting hot!
Have a few photos:
I think there were 8-9 cobras.
The Noland's with an old friend, and my neighbor, Bruce. Bruce has a way kewl Harley....
Elgecko's better half... Loretta. 'elgecko' (Dave) came to visit Dallas group in July- all the way from Amarillo... well, Loretta came this time, and visited her son, Kevin who lives just a few miles away from me. We had a fun, quick but short ride to Forney.
Glad you could come, Loretta, and David, thanks for the poster! Way way neat!!! yeah, it will go in the garage....
Jay's nicely done Backdraft...
Chris's finished (finally! ) JBL. Glad to see it, Chris. Hey, look who's in the background..... (Bruce)
Missed A LOT of the 'old' regulars, but nice to see some of the 'new' regulars joining us! Jim did a nice job of organizing everything. thanks, Jim.
John Russell and John, jr. were there, having recovered from Philmont Scout Ranch. Alan and Colleen arrived- both of these folks forgot the cobra! !!
Don and Cindy; John D. late late late, Randy, nice to see you, and all those other folks who's name escapes me right now....
Seeya next month. Somebody suggested Fort Worth, as 'payback'???
Kristen
(missed ya Gary, Tom, Jim, John R., David, oh, and the sleepy head- Matt. oh, and Fred, where were ya? James, thought you might make it??? still got your trophy, Gary S.)
Have a great weekend!

I have a few pics in my gallery as well........some other cars making their first Dallas meet .....Jim Jacobs FIA, Jay's Backdraft. The other was the Nolen's JBL in Kristen's post. All fantastic cars.
I got there late, so I might have missed other "firsts".
I would have posted them in the message, but I don't know how.
John

YEP, we had a fun day, and I Chris Noland, check pm.
What a fun day, and Jim deserves a big "thank you" for setting it up!
I thought the turnout was really good, and we really had more people than they expected, or could handle in one room!
Chris, check your private messages!
When John & I got home, Mary told me I had just missed a call from Barbara Flesher by about 5 minutes! I returned the call and she asked me to tell everyone how much she missed us, and how much both she and her sons appreciated the help we gave them with the disposal of Dick's Unique.
Also, I believe both September and October are already spoken for, so stay tuned for further unformation to be posted by the responsible parties ( wow, what a word to use for this crowd!)
John Russell
ps. It is time to start thinking about March 2006! Details to follow!

not too bad for a bunch of whiners, huh, David??? With folks leaving an hour earlier, and with the time zone change, it's amazing anybody made it!
kristen
ps. there were a few that didn't make the group photo. What were y'all doing? Still eating???
Sorry, guess I should have been hospitable and invited ya'll over.... hubby swept out the garage while I was gone.... oh, and there are SOME who don't believe he exists! Believe me, the money has to come from SOMEWHERE! I sure as heck don't wanna work!! ahhh, my manslave just arrived with my cup of coffee. Isn't he the greatest???
seeya later. off to look at John's pics in his gallery. John, it took me about a year to figure out how to post in a thread, and, I had cheat sheets emailed to me from 2 people! Once you get the hang of it, it's easy.
have a great day.
