Talking August meeting for Dallas chapter is set!!

Okey Dokey fellow TCC members,
I just got off the phone with Jim Jacobs, and we are indeed set for Saturday, August 6th in Forney at Ernie Bells Hot Rod cafe, starting at 7:00am. From Hwy 80, take the 740 exit about a quarter mile and Jim assured me "you can't miss it!"
Jim is having more than his share of problems getting registered and logged on to this web site, so I have become his conduit untill Brent Mills can get him all straightened out! I sent Brent a message with Jim's e-mail address so this should hopefully be corrected soon.
Any of you that can add more information, please chime in!
See 'yall in a month, if not sooner.
John Russell

Smile Re: August meeting for Dallas chapter is set!!

This is kind of a test to see if I'm registered? Hmm....I noticed the little smiley guy kind of looks like me. As John said we are set For Ernie Bells and I think you'll enjoy your ride. Feel free to contact me should you have any questions.

OK...Forney is about ten miles from LBJ or two minutes in a GT40.

I have room at my house if anyone wants to come the night before. I wouldn't let you stay in our motel....

Gosh...have none of you been to "God's Country"? If anyone would like to bring your wives you can spend the day at our antiques stores.

From Denton - Just take I35 south to LBJ east, then take Hwy 80 east.

My Cell number is 214-232-2227 if anyone has a problem.

hey, guys! checking in from Cool Colorado! Forney is in my neck of the woods, in fact, I've been to a car meet at Ernie Bell's. Yeah, without ya'll I know, I know.... it's in the book. It's a 50's type joint, with an old car dude running/owning it.

Sorry I missed the last meet. Look forward to the one in August.

BTW. It's only about 10-12 minutes from LBJ @ 80-- Town East Mall area, and where Gary and I live. Jim..... feel free to spend the night from Denton. (kidding) I made it to Denton in 1 hour a few weeks ago, during rush hour.

See ya'll soon!

Kristen the cool colorado car queen

John
Well, I'm in a pickle of a mess now. After I attended the July meeting and reporting the happenings to the wife, she has decided to come down for the August meeting and check out what all the fuss is about. and why we have to delay the bathroom remodeling.
THE PROBLEM: I can't make it down that weekend. I'm at the mercy of the Cobra Club to convince her that the Cobra project is a worthy project. She is a digital artist so she will be having her digital camera to record the sights(color choices) and a calculator to figure the added expenses to complete the project.
It's really not that bad, but she is really interested in what is going on.

Holy Smoke>>>>>.

I'll have to leave at or before 5:00 AM. Yea I get up at five five every day but I have to get up before that to make this one.

I know where Forney is as I was a AVP (Real Estate Lender) at Seagoville State Bank (now named something else) for four years.

Man what a drive. At least two hours from here,at least!! Hey thats OK though.

Jim Are you Going? If So give me a call I may go with you.

OH....MY....GOSH
Do I dare let that happen, Kristen.
I've been reading about your travels......could this be a "Thelma and Louise" all over again???
Hey, I'll talk to her tonight. Her son lives in Garland (real close) and that would be where she will be staying. She will have a rent-a-car so maybe something can be worked out. Cool. If anyone can convince her of the importance of a Cobra in ones' life, it would be you.

Garland is just up the road from me.... I'm 'below' it- near Mesquite, it's called Sunnyvale. Thelma and Louise. Now really, I'm offended. humphhh!!! (haha, just kidding!)

I really would be happy to have her over.

Surely we couldn't get into too much trouble, just going down the road a few miles??? eh???

BTW. Drove outside the loop of amarillo just yesterday, on our way home from hot Colorado. I waved hello......
Kristen

I'll PM you my cell #, and home #

hey, just a little heads up- when you exit FM 740 (I THINK that's the number!), stay to the left just a bit- there is a strong dip in the asphalt on the right, just as you exit, right in front of the dairy queen. No big deal, I missed it in the cobra this afternoon, but you might want to watch for it.

Seeya soon!
