Chris,
Glad you made it home alright. What a pain that had to be.You sure did some good trouble shooting to find the cause though.Surprised it hadn't happened earlier.
Randy sure had a big day.
1. Got his Cobra out of the shop in time for the Meet and AER.
2. Good lunch at Champps
3. Got some Christmas Shopping done at AER.
4. In the right place to give you some help.

Chris,
I saw a big puddle in the road at that intersection when I went by. I thought about you and looked around but didn't see any Cobras. I'm glad Randy was there to assist and you made it home OK.
It sure was a great day and nice to see everyone before the Xmas Holiday. It's hard to beat a gathering of Cobras, Coupes and GT's.

That's Not Me!!!
That is just some guy that looks like me. It was a great day. I enjoyed the trip home more than Chris. His Cobra is all better now and I got to tell Andrew Merry Xmas!

sorry, Jim!!! had a busy day...
here are a few... will add a bit more when i can.....
GREAT TURNOUT!!!!
At Champp's, we had:
15 Cobra's. (maybe one more?)
1 Coupe.
4, count 'em FOUR new Ford GT's!!!! wow!!!
1 GT 350
1 new Saleen Mustang
And lots of people who hemhawed around about not having a cobra.... or it's not fixed.... or it's not ready...... or it's too cold or.......
Wusses in attendance without their Cobra.... Gary Morris.
Thomas. (still on stands???!!) Jay. hmmm sold them, and replacements are in pieces..... Sam. ERA on order. yeah, we'll believe it when we see it! New Gary with a Lone Star on order... yeah, ditto.... oh, and Jim Jacobs.... hmmmm alternator problems, still!!!!????
And last but not least.... Alan and Colleen, with not only the GT but a Cobra- in the garage at home!!! Alan, if you'd just let Colleen pick which one she could drive, you could bring your matching his and her's set...... how are the stick shift driving lessons going????
Great to have our old friend Don Barnes come to visit. Wonderful to finally see Gary S.'s 350. looks great!!!
alright. here are some pics.:

nice lineup, when we all get there and take over the front parking lot!!!
and Fred, yours looks nice, right in between that row of blue and silver.....
the stepchildren, on the backrow..... (just kidding!)
Gary's GT350 making it's debut. Glad to finally see it, Gary. looks great. my new baby will look sorta like that!!!!
nice lineup from the other end...
Straggler's get the best spots... John and Randy. Sorry, Chris, you were REALLY late, didn't get Saluki in.
Ford guy's Saleen
Pepe and ???
(Kristen's and Fred's) cute couple!!!
Jay, modeling his favorite Christmas present... a little gift from Pepe.
Alan and David, discussing the comparisions of a Cobra to the GT. (right??)
the huge AER truck in the background, and the entrance to the Toys for Tots dropoff and AER museum.
and, last but not least, the group photo.
have made copies for all of you. will have them in my bag for MONTHS to come, i'm sure.
enjoyed it!!
Had fun hassling Alan. Poor guy. What's a guy to do--- stuck between Colleen and me????
And do you THINK he brought me my Chicken??? noooooooo.
We have a really great group going on right now!! lots of oldtimers, lots of newbies!! Perfect.
thinking of what Pepe's present can be at Valentine's.... hmmm maybe something pink???
have a great Christmas everybody!!!
luvya!
K
ps. i'll add a few more in the gallery- pretty much more of the same.

Great turnout for a good cause.
It was really a nice day to drive after all. I had my own mechanical problems, but it was on the way to Champps. I was following Larry Reyburn, and I had to stop to get gas (kinda normal for me!). Well, the Cobra would not start but Larry jump started me....he also had to jump me after breakfast. Thanks Larry.
Talked to Jay and he correctly diagnosed the problem as a weak connection from the battery cable. It looks to be fixed now after tightening up.
As long as it is clear and not below 40 or so, I am still game for a drive next time for January!

Several of us have started buddy driving. Pretty smart. I know several have tagged together for several years, but not many over in on the East Side.... Even with Jim driving his MB, we cat and moused it. Yeah, Jim, i saw you flying up beside me. In a MB, no less!!!
oh and John.... I owe you a lunch!! thanks again.

AER Toy run Video
OK,
I stole some of your photo's because I didn't have much video. It's hard to steer, shift and hold that camera at the same time. Where is my daughter when I need her?
Fun time I had.
