What is involved in joining the club? I am just starting my Cobra; LSC is delivering the first stage in a couple of weeks. I was at the meeting earlier this months at Rob’s shop but no one talked about membership or how to join.

Bwana Gary,
What Kristen forgot to mention are the dues - you have to buy the short blonde girls drinks at each of the club meetings.

Kristen, talked to a number of people can’t remember their names right off hand. I was the big guy with gray hair and beard driving a white Cobra disguised as a Corvette. Colleen, for the record, I never mind buying a drink for good looking blond. My wife and are planning on making the December meeting what do we need to do for the toy run? Do the toys have to be wrapped? Lone Star is suppose to deliver the first stage of my car the weekend of the 23rd and would appreciate any helpful advice.

Oh David did you step in it this time!!!
On the loan star Delivery Gary the one thing I can tell you is to make sure check all the parts that you get..don't allow them to be delivered later or sent to you.
Also the toys don't have to be wrapped.

Boy I don't know where that attitude came from but since he asked and I had lonestar once I thought I would give it...And its a thread about the meeting that includes the toy drive.
You don't like my stupid opinions then don't read the thread its that simple.

Cowtown,
What was that about??
You seem to have a whole lot of rules that I've never seen listed: "Only car owners get opinions or get to be members" and "Threads shall not veer off topic." Funny, I thought this club was for any one who was interested in Cobras. And if we kept every thread to the original topic, then there'd never be any posting going on. Or any fun for that matter.

You tell 'em Colleen,
Wasn't this the guy who was asking about growing membership and engagement in the Club? And then throw out that crap? WTF?
I'll be at Champp's with an unwrapped toy. Again, doubtful of wife attendance, so I guess I'll be buying drinks for the blondes again...

No correction necessary. I meant bonified! It's an industry term used by non cobra members on a strictly enforced cobra forum
Before I had my TCC handbook taken away (for non ownership) I believe chapter 16, section 9, page 69 only allows for cobra owners to do the checking
Gee, if I were only part of the club.

you had the 3rd edition. the fifth edition (the one I have) allows for exceptions to that rule. "If you have ever owned, driven or wanted a cobra qualifies you for the 'checker' position."
Ed. 5, Chapter 16, section 10, page 70.
Can i show you???
