Default Superformance in Houston

Hi I'm in CA, new to this forum and have been looking for a SPF for some time now.

I have narrowed my search to a few SPF's and one of them is in Houston.
I was hoping the CC Texas forum would be able to help me out.

The Superformance I'm looking at is being sold by: http://www.forristalls.com
It's the Silver one on the FOR SALE Page.

What I was hoping to get help with is:
-Does anyone know this car, or first hand info. on it?
-Does anyone recommend a mechanic in the area that knows Superformances and can do a pre-purchase inspection if I decide on this one?

I appreciate any help or direction you can provide.

There is a Superformance sub-dealer located in Houston now. Vintage Upgrades and Performance. They do most of the installs now for Reed Performance and also stock several rollers.

talk to Mike (there is three Mikes there, LOL) @ 281-441-4623

Default SPF in Houston

I'm on the road today in that area and can swing by and look at it. Personally don't know the car. In Houston, one of the most knowledgeable would be James Yale. He can be reached at http://www.radicalroadsters.com/index.html
I'm on my second car and have spent a good amount of time toying with them. James will be able to spot small details, has built several now, two ground up show quality race cars. I'll post later with what I see.

If I'm not mistaking, the silver one that Steve Forrristall has belongs to a collecter that has quite a Shelby collection. I think the guy is a lawyer. It might be the same silver one that Corvettes and Classics had a couple of years age. If so, the 427 was built by Southern Automotive and from what I heard, was not really that strong running of a car. I know Corvettes and Classics put a clutch in it.
Doug Reed knows a little about it. Call Corvettes and Classic and talk to Jerry. I'm sure he remembers the car.
I can tell you Steve Forristall is a stand up guy that knows his cars and won't steer you wrong.

Mark

It has an AC center cap in the steering wheel and a cobra badge on hood and trunk. It appears to be an early run car.

Default SPF in Houston

I emailed and called Steve at Foristalls. We just missed each other a couple of times, phone tag. I'll try to arrange to look at the car on Monday.
